Celebrate Canada 150 with Historical Journeys at the Collingwood Public Library

Ships and Shipwrecks! with Cris Kohl and Joan Forsberg
Thursday, June 22 at 7:00 p.m. in the FreeSchools World Literacy Room

What’s the connection between 1867, the year of Canada’s birth, and shipwrecks
along the Georgian Bay coast? Discover the exciting true stories behind:

  • the most visited shipwreck in the Great Lakes
  • the shallow water ghost ship recently identified
  • the steamship which burned in 1867 and was rebuilt,
    but later became a major disaster in Georgian Bay
  • and more

Experience this multimedia presentation by maritime historians and underwater photographers Cris Kohl and Joan Forsberg.
