THE COLLINGWOOD 150

Collingwood150 will inspire Collingwood residents, organizations, businesses and public institutions to improve their health and well-being, celebrating our potential as a community and leaving a lasting legacy for all residents of the area.

Vision

Collingwood150 will inspire Collingwood residents, organizations, businesses and public institutions to improve their health and well-being, celebrating our potential as a community and leaving a lasting legacy for all residents of the area.

Actions

From hiking programs, school gardens, and trail improvements to initiatives that improve peoples’ experiences in the local hospital, Collingwood150 is about profiling these projects. By submitting a Project to the Collingwood150 website, leaders can promote and celebrate their projects as well as invite the broader community to participate and collaborate.

Submitted projects can be dreams, in the early stages of planning, in the process of being implemented or recent accomplishments.

Project Goals

  • Celebrate 150 Health and Wellbeing Projects by Canada’s 150th birthday in July of 2017.
  • Create an ongoing engagement process that inspires the Collingwood community to take action and improve personal and community health and wellbeing.
  • Collaborate as a community together with organizations, businesses, healthcare providers and researchers.
  • Catalogue the many Health & Wellbeing projects so that gaps and further growth opportunities can be identified and supported.
